Ingredients

For the Tuna Skewers:

1 lb fresh sushi-grade tuna, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Wooden or metal skewers

For the Strawberry Salsa:

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced

1 small red onion, finely chopped

1 jalapeño, seeded and minced

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

2 tablespoons lime juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Tuna Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, garlic powder, and black pepper. Add the cubed tuna, turning gently to coat. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Make the Strawberry Salsa: In a separate bowl, combine diced strawberries, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice. Mix well and season with salt and pepper. Set aside for the flavors to meld.

Preheat the Grill: If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat. If using an oven, preheat the broiler.

Assemble the Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated tuna cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.

Grill the Skewers: Place the skewers on the grill or under the broiler. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until the tuna is seared on the outside but still rare on the inside. Be careful not to overcook!

Serve: Arrange the grilled tuna skewers on a serving platter. Spoon the strawberry salsa over the skewers or serve it in a small bowl on the side. Garnish with sesame seeds.

Enjoy! Pair these delicious skewers with a refreshing salad or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
