Ingredients

1 cup fresh blueberries

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Zest of 1 lime

1/4 cup crushed walnuts (optional for added crunch)

Pinch of salt

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Prepare Blueberries: Rinse the blueberries gently under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

Make the Spicy Mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, chili powder, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, lime zest, and a pinch of salt until fully combined. Adjust the spice level by adding more cayenne if desired.

Coat the Blueberries: In a large mixing bowl, add the blueberries and drizzle the spicy honey mixture over them. Toss gently until all the blueberries are coated evenly.

Add Crunch: If using, fold in the crushed walnuts to the blueberries for an additional crunch.

Chill: Place the coated blueberries in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the blueberries to chill.

Serve: Arrange the spicy blueberry bites on a serving platter and garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and freshness.
