Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

8 oz (225g) cremini mushrooms, finely chopped

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup beef broth

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1 package (14 oz) refrigerated pie crusts (usually contains two crusts)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onions and minced garlic, sautéing for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the chopped mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes until they begin to release their moisture.

Brown the Beef: Push the mushroom mixture to the side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. About 5-7 minutes.

Season the Mixture: Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, rosemary, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.

Thicken the Filling: Sprinkle the flour over the beef and mushroom mixture, stirring to combine. Gradually add the beef broth, mixing until the filling thickens, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Prepare the Pie Crust: Roll out one of the pie crusts and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish. Pour the beef and mushroom filling into the crust, spreading it evenly.

Top the Pie: Roll out the second crust and place it over the filling. Seal the edges by crimping them with your fingers or a fork, and cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

Bake the Pie: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the pie from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
