Salted Caramel Brownie Bites

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup packed light brown sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Sea salt flakes, for sprinkling

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin tin or line it with mini cupcake liners for easy removal.

    Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

      Mix Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar with the melted butter. Mix until well combined.

        Add Eggs and Vanilla: Stir in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and continue to mix until fully incorporated.

          Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

            Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips gently. The batter will be thick and fudgy.

              Fill the Muffin Tin: Using a medium cookie scoop or spoon, fill each mini muffin cup about halfway with brownie batter.

                Add Caramel: Add about 1/2 teaspoon of caramel sauce into the center of each brownie bite. Top off with more brownie batter until the cups are three-quarters full.

                  Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the edges comes out slightly moist, but not wet. The centers should still be soft.

                    Cool and Sprinkle: Allow the brownie bites to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Once cooled, drizzle some extra caramel on top and sprinkle with sea salt flakes for that perfect salty-sweet balance.
