1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed

6 cloves of garlic, minced

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of 1 lemon

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare the asparagus: Rinse the asparagus under cold water and trim the tough ends (about 1-2 inches from the bottom).

      Mix the marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
