Ingredients

4 ripe bananas

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

1/2 cup granola or crushed nuts (for topping)

A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the ripe bananas and place them in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Mix the Ingredients: Add the peanut butter, honey or maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if desired) to the blended bananas. Blend again until all ingredients are well combined and smooth.

Taste and Adjust: Sample the mixture and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or maple syrup. Blend again briefly to mix.

Prepare the Mold: Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan or a silicon mold with parchment paper, leaving some overhang to help with easy removal later.

Pour the Mixture: Pour the banana-peanut butter mixture into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Add Toppings: Sprinkle the granola or crushed nuts evenly over the top of the mixture. You can also sprinkle a pinch of sea salt for a sweet and salty contrast.

Freeze: Place the pan in the freezer and let the bars freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until completely solid.

Slice and Serve: Once frozen, remove the pan from the freezer. Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bars out. Cut into even-sized bars or squares, and enjoy!

Store: Any leftover bars can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks.
