Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1 lb asparagus, trimmed

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil, divided

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

1 tablespoon chopped green onions (for garnish)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil (if using). Set aside.

Season the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Sauté Asparagus: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the asparagus and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until they start to become tender. Remove the asparagus from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Salmon: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for 2-3 minutes without moving them, allowing the skin to crisp up.

Add the Sauce: Once the salmon is browned, pour the honey garlic sauce over the fillets. Arrange the asparagus around the salmon in the skillet.

Bake the Dish: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
