Ingredients

4 pounds turkey breast, skin-on and bone-in

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for a hint of spice)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Turkey Breast:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

      - Rinse the turkey breast under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Place it in a roasting pan, breast side up.

        Make the Maple Glaze:

          - In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, sage, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).

            - Taste the glaze and adjust seasoning if necessary.

              Apply the Glaze:

                - Brush half of the maple glaze over the turkey breast, ensuring it's evenly coated. Reserve the other half for later.

                  Roasting:

                    - Tent the turkey breast with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning. Roast in the preheated oven for about 1 hour.

                      - After 1 hour, remove the foil and baste the turkey with the reserved glaze. Continue roasting for an additional 30-45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). The skin should become beautifully caramelized and golden.

                        Resting the Turkey:

                          - Once done, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a moist turkey.

                            Optional Serving Suggestion:

                              - For an extra touch, melt the unsalted butter and brush it over the turkey slices just before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs for a beautiful presentation.

                                Slice and Serve:

                                  - Carefully carve the turkey breast and serve with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables or creamy mashed potatoes, making sure to drizzle any remaining glaze over each serving.
