Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or your favorite flavored yogurt)

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Coffee grounds or instant coffee (for garnishing, optional)

A pinch of sea salt

Chocolate chips or chopped nuts for topping (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into 1/2-inch thick coins. Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on a lined baking sheet.

Mix the Yogurt Base: In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.

Coat the Bananas: Take each banana coin and dip it into the mocha yogurt mixture. Make sure to coat both sides evenly. Use a fork to help lift the coins out and shake off any excess yogurt.

Add Toppings: Place the coated banana coins back onto the baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle a few coffee grounds or instant coffee on top for an extra mocha kick. You may also add chocolate chips or chopped nuts for added texture and flavor.

Freeze the Coins: Once all the banana slices are coated and topped, place the baking sheet in the freezer. Freeze for at least 2-3 hours, or until the banana coins are completely frozen.

Serve and Enjoy: Once frozen, remove the banana coins from the freezer. Let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes for easier handling. Serve them in a bowl and enjoy your delightful Frozen Yogurt Mocha Banana Bites!
