Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp olive oil

4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 tsp dried thyme

1 tsp paprika

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, making sure not to burn the garlic.

Pour in the chicken broth and use a wooden spoon to scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer.

Add the heavy cream, dried thyme, and paprika, stirring to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon the creamy sauce over them, and let them cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Remove from heat and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter for extra creaminess. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
