Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped spinach, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated and creamy.

Roll Out the Dough: Unroll both cans of crescent dough. On a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange the triangles in a circle, overlapping them slightly to create a 'ring' shape. The wide ends of the triangles should face outward, and the points should come towards the center.

Add the Filling: Spoon the chicken and spinach filling into the center of the crescent dough ring. Make sure to leave space around the edges, as you will need to fold the triangles over the filling.

Fold the Dough: Starting with the triangle points, fold the ends of each triangle over the filling. Tuck the points underneath the ring to secure the shape.

Brush with Egg Wash: Using a pastry brush, brush the beaten egg over the dough to give it a nice golden color as it bakes. For added texture, sprinkle sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning on top.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crescent ring is golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Once baked, remove the ring from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into wedges and serve warm as a delicious appetizer or main dish.
